Brimming with a small town feel Lauderdale-By-The-Sea is set to enchant and delight residents and visitors with their annual Christmas-By-The-Sea set for Wednesday, Dec. 3 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.
The town will be decked out in colorful lights and brand new holiday ornaments throughout while business storefronts join in as well with festive window displays adding to the overall Christmas spirit of the event.
Town Mayor Scot Sasser opens the festivities with welcoming remarks followed by a performance by the North Andrews Gardens Elementary Pizzazz Choir and Violin Ensemble. At 6:30 p.m. the man himself, Santa Claus makes a grand entrance on a fire truck strung with holiday lights for the official tree lighting and announcement of the Best Dressed Window Award winners.
The celebration continues with University Center of Performing Arts, New Presbyterian Church Youth Choir, Carolers by the Sea and Tap Dance Artists of South Florida performing and closing out the program.
Set to be a wondrous evening, the displays and decorations will remain up until mid-January. We hope you come out and enjoy this splendid holiday affair.
