The Town of Lauderdale-By-The-Sea will once again celebrate the spirit of the holidays with Christmas-By-The-Sea on Wednesday, Dec. 7 from 5:30 to 9PM.
An estimated 3,500 people attended last year's event, which is held on Commercial Boulevard at the beach, where the Town's oceanfront plazas and palm trees are decorated with festive holiday lighting.
The festivities include Santa Claus arriving atop a fire truck for the official lighting of the Town's 25-foot tall Christmas Tree at 6PM. Children can also meet later with St. Nick in Santa's Village at the Beach Pavilion.
All will enjoy the live entertainment and the Yuletide market featuring holiday and ocean-themed gifts and crafts. There will also be local food vendors in Anglin's Square.
State Contracting and Engineering, a Hollywood firm, generously sponsored this year's entertainment, which is being produced by Director Jodi Bergman-McMahon, the owner of University Center for the Performing Arts in Davie. This year's event features many talented dancers, singers and musicians.
The Kids Craft area will be filled with lots of hands-on and creative activities for children to enjoy along with games, thanks to the sponsorship of LBTS local businesses Flynn Engineering and Plunge Resort.
