Coming in January, Samantha Marchand and Jebbie Melamed residents of Lauderdale by the Sea will be bringing you Yoga By the Sea.

Every Tuesday and Thursday morning now through April (weather permitting) from 7:00 - 8:00 am they will host yoga and meditation in El Prado Park.

The Lauderdale-By-The-Sea Farmers Market is open for a fourth season in El Prado Park and every Sunday thereafter until May, 2017 (except New Year's Day). - The Market is presented in partnership between the Town of Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, award winning Community Farmers Market of South Florida and the Lauderdale-By-the-Sea Chamber of Commerce.

Dancing By The Sea

The Beach Pavilion goes into full swing – literally!- as Danny Carter hosts his popular dance classes on the 2nd and *4th Sunday of the month with free lessons of Swing, Salsa, Tango and Ballroom dance. Great fun for all ages.

To celebrate, we’re having special diving & fish ID seminars, parties, photo/video presentations - and of course giving away over $20k in prizes and cash in the BugHunt and Photo contests. Khalilah Camacho Ali, the former wife of the Greatest of all Time Muhammed Ali, spoke to us on Friday, September 16 from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at Jarvis Hall - part of our Evening in Jarvis Hall Lecture Series.


Khalilah married Ali at age 17 and had four children with the boxing legend and says their 10-year marriage was “the best time of my entire life.”


Khalilah continued an exciting life after Ali: she studied karate and by 1977 earned a third degree black belt, and has continued a successful career as an actress, writer, and humanitarian who is actively involved in multiple children's organizations.


Lisa Bartolo, & Jimmy Dorsey who is also a retired professional boxer and two- time golden glove winner under Floyd Patterson are also very active in supporting Khalilah in many of her ventures & book signings.

BOO By The Sea

Created for kids 2 to 11, Lauderdale-By-The-Sea’s small business community will host “Boo! By The Sea, A Halloween Stroll” on the last Saturday in October from 3:30 to 6:30 in our plazas “just over the bridge.”


Businesses will have activities and games along our very stroll-friendly walkways – and of course Trick or Treats!- during the afternoon of old-fashioned door to-door Trick or Treating in the west Plazas. (All children must be accompanied by a parent to participate).

Veteran's Day Celebration

Honor our veteran's on Friday, November 11 as we salute our American Heroes at Town Hall with the ceremony starting at 10:00 am. Music will be by the Patriot Brass Trio and refreshments will be served.

Menorah Lighting Ceremony
